Danielle Galenski began her career at Say Yes as the Family Support Specialist at PS # 99 Stanley M. Makowski Early Childhood Center. For the past 16 years, Danielle has been working with children, particularly elementary-school aged and families in multiple capacities with the goal of helping families reach their fullest potential. Danielle’s philosophy is that parents/caregivers are the real experts on their children and her role is to simply offer support, guidance, and education.
Prior to joining Say Yes, Danielle was a long-time employee of Gateway-Longview, Inc. At that agency, Danielle taught parenting classes including The Incredible Years & Common Sense Parenting. After working with parent for 8 weeks in class; Danielle conducted observations of court-mandated parent-child visitation sessions. Before that time, Danielle worked as an In-home Mental Health Therapist providing counseling services and parenting coaching. Danielle also spent 4 years working in a residential school setting as a Teacher Assistant.
Danielle earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Buffalo State College and her Masters of Education with a concentration in School Counseling from St. Bonaventure University.
