Have Questions About Financial Aid?

Say Yes Buffalo has partnered with the University at Buffalo to provide one-on-one help for students and parents to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program—commonly known as the FAFSA & TAP. Please contact the FAFSA & TAP Completion project at 716-645-1116 or your school counselor directly.

For students to be eligible for Say Yes Buffalo scholarships or grants, they must complete The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application. To do this requires not only information about the student who is applying for school-aid, but also about their parents’ financial situations, including copies of their required taxes.

Every fall Dr. Nathan Daun-Barnett and a team of undergraduate students from the University at Buffalo work within the Buffalo public and charter high schools to provide assistance and guide students and their families through this complex process. Dozens of student interns, or College Access Specialists, support each of the high schools and meet one-on-one with students and their families to navigate the financial aid application process.

To receive help completing your necessary financial aid forms, ask your guidance counselor how to schedule an appointment with your school’s College Access Specialist or contact the FAFSA & TAP Completion Project at 716-645-1116.
