“….The Power Authority will provide $600,000 to the Say Yes Buffalo Youth Apprenticeship Program. The program places recent high school graduates in one- to three-year, structured work-based learning apprenticeships at industry partners in high-demand sectors. ‘The number of students served will depend on variables, including the number of companies that agree to participate in the program,’ said Paul DeMichele, a Power Authority spokesman. Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office said the expectation is the program will grow to serve as many as 200 high school students, as it develops.”
