Family Support Specialist Supervisor

Michael Lynch started at Say Yes Buffalo as a Family Support Specialist at Buffalo Public School 81, and was promoted to Family Support Specialist Supervisor. Prior to joining Say Yes Buffalo, Michael was an In-Home Family Therapist at Child and Adolescent Treatment Services. Michael was responsible for providing family therapy to families of teenagers throughout Erie County who were linked with the Juvenile Justice System (PINS, Probation etc…)

Michael previously worked as a Parenting Education Group Facilitator at Every Person Influences Children (EPIC). He was responsible for facilitating parenting groups for court-mandated parents. Michael also worked as a group facilitator in the Erie County Holding Center where he ran life-skills and recidivism prevention groups for young inmates.

Currently, Michael also works for the University at Buffalo, as a Master of Social Work Field Educator. Michael currently is responsible for supervising two Masters level social work students and helping to guide them through their internship and graduate school experiences.

Michael has lived his whole life in Western New York and graduated from the University at Buffalo’s Master of Social Work program.
