Have Questions About the FAFSA?

Say Yes Buffalo has partnered with the University at Buffalo to provide 1:1 help for students and parents to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid – commonly known as the FAFSA.

For students to be eligible for Say Yes Buffalo scholarships, they must complete The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To do this requires not only information about the student who is applying for school-aid, but also about their parents’ financial situations, including copies of the previous year’s taxes.

Every fall Dr. Nathan Daun-Barnett and a team of graduate students from the University at Buffalo work within the Buffalo public and charter high schools to provide assistance and guide students and their families through this complex process. Dozens of volunteers go into each of the high schools to meet 1:1 with specific students and their parents to navigate the financial aid application process.
